A tree and a shadow: other side of the truth

 The relationship between two or more individuals is like the relationship between a tree and its shadow. You might think it's the most perfect relationship. But if we look deeper into this relationship, we will get to see its imperfections. 

The tree is always there for the shadow through the dark and the light, through the night and the day . But the shadow might leave once it's dark. It's the same for our relationship with each other. People may chose to leave once it becomes dark. You might feel lonely for a while just like the tree feels lonely. Yet, the tree will always find a way to keep existing till the next morning. Of course, the tree didn't know that the shadow was really there through the dark. It just couldn't find a way through the darkness. Yet, the tree still believes that the shadow left it alone. And then to revenge,  she decides to let him one step back. The shadow will always be one step behind. 

Of course, the story of a tree and a shadow is a fiction. But it is the projection of our relationships with each other. The truth has always more than one side. And each side is not only different but also contradictory. We tend to believe the side of the story which satisfies us.  And based on that we take decisions. Sometimes, we might regret those decisions once we know the other side of the truth. And other times, we don't get the chance to know that other side. 

The next time you see a tree, think of how many other sides you didn't have the chance to know. At that moment, you will learn to always look for the other side of the truth.
