The moment you realize you fell in love

 Someone asked me a question : How do you know you fell in love ?

The short answer: You don't!

There is no long answer. Yet, we can try to explain the phenomenon from different perspectives. 

A philosopher would say : " My heart talks about nothing but you" _ Albert Camus. As if when we are in love, everything else loses its importance. The only thing that matters is your person. You can't think or feel or even breath without their presence. Their absence is nothing but a temporary death, and their presence is a place beyond heaven. That's what it is falling in love,  having death and heaven in your life.

An astronaut would say : " The sky is full of stars, yet I am admiring you". As if suddenly, your whole universe is a person. Their eyes are the moon and sun, too cold and too worm. Their smile is the unreachable galaxy, magical yet too far. That's what it is falling in love, being lost in a universe. 

An actor would say : " My soul finds its calm in your eyes". As if eyes are a window to the soul. Eyes can say what the words can't. The intimacy of it makes it more understandable than words. Yet, maybe sometimes it is better to tell what the eyes can't tell.  Eyes stole words away, in a way that your thoughts are lost. That's what it is falling in love, eyes are speaking their own language. 

An archaeologist would say : " My hands run to you". As if hands are a mean to heal a broken heart. 

A musician would say : " Your name is my instrument". As if it is the melody that your hearts play.

A play writer would say :" You are my plot twist". As if nothing is the same anymore. 

Being in love doesn't necessary make sense to people. It has to make sense only to you. There is no wrong or right. There is you and your feelings. 

Who is your death and heaven? Who is your universe and who is your language? 

Who is your companion and your safe place?

That's the moment you realize you fell in love. When you look at someone, and you know one thing "You just need that person for the rest of your life".
